On My Way….

From John: Two weeks down and 10 to go. The change in diet has not been too bad so far, although I am really missing pizza! Wade has been making me work incredibly hard, although he took some time off to get engaged. Thanks to Ryan for filling in a few days. Moving on to week 3…

A kind word

From Gerry: After my workout this morning, Tony sent me an encouraging text.  A sore hip and knee had limited my ability and left me thinking I was losing ground. His words made a world of difference and reminded me of the bigger picture.

Building up

From Gerry: What can I say about boot camp? It was ugly. I, the quivering lump in the back of the room, was a less than stellar camper. But I’ll be back again this week. It’s got to get better! The bar is really low, nowhere to go but up.

Boxing and Boot Camp

From Jayne: Sore – has hit a whole new level for me!  Now I know why they call it Bootcamp!  It was so nice to suffer along with my other Fittest Loser Friends!  I really enjoyed the boxing; however, now driving even hurts.  Oh, how I appreciate Advil – seems to help!  Hope everyone has a great Sunday – going to make some home-made salad dressing tomorrow and a fresh turkey breast.
A big thanks to our BOOTCAMP instructor “Tony” – I give him an A+ – he did a fantastic job – learned everyone’s names and was constantly watching each of us – very professional – what an asset to Push Fitness!!!

First Boot Camp Challenge

From Bob: Well, had my first experience today at The Fittest Loser Boot Camp. The head trainer Tony should be “Sgt. Tony”! I did the best I could and I know each and every time I go, I should do better and better. It was VERY tough, but my fellow competitors and I got through it as a team today. Almost two weeks down, 10 to go!

People are starting to notice–woo hoo!

From Kristen: It’s not quite been two weeks yet, but a few people have already noticed that I look different. That is all the motivation I need to keep avoiding the pizza and focusing on my healthy diet! There have been a couple of days where this all has seemed so difficult, but I’m starting to get into a good routine and I’m very excited to see the numbers keep dropping. This has been a great experience so far. The other four contestants are an awesome support network and I’m so excited to be on this journey with them. Feel free to follow my journey on my blog: http://startingthisminute.wordpress.com. Here’s hoping my “after” picture looks a whole lot better than the current picture in my profile. :)

Squats

From Gerry: If I ever dreamed of being a catcher in baseball, I had a harsh wake-up call this morning. I barely survived a 30-second squat without crying and begging for mercy. Can’t imagine making a living in that position.

Oh, the pain!

From Gerry: Everything hurts, well, everything except my fingers. Thanks Tony!

A contest within ourselves

From John: This is really a contest within ourselves, although the “publicness” of the contest adds some pressure to succeed. I am looking forward to the challenge of changing lifestyle habits and becoming a much healthier person.

Staying positive!

From Jayne: I have a very difficult and unflexible work schedule so I’ve been busy working out at home, getting guidance from Mark and setting up our schedules. I thought it might be nice that although this is a “competition” that we could also keep in touch and provide encouragement to each other. Staying positive always helps — so I wish everyone Positive “Fittest Loser” Days!
