Spinach and Orange Salad

Salads can be a fantastic dish to serve on a warm spring or summer day.  Add reduced fat cheese or nuts and fruit to create a more balanced and delicious meal.

Spinach & Orange Salad

with Balsamic Vinaigrette

Active Time:   15 minutes

Total Time:  15 minutes

Amount:   4 servings

 

Ingredients:

6 cups Farm Stand® Fresh Spinach Leaves

2 Farm Stand Navel Oranges, sectioned

¼ cup thinly sliced shallots

¼ cup sliced natural almonds

¼ cup reduced fat blue cheese crumbles

1/3 cup prepared light balsamic vinaigrette

Directions:

  1. In large bowl, combine spinach, orange sections, shallots, almonds and blue cheese.
  2. Toss salad with salad dressing and serve immediately.
