No more excuses. Start exercising right now!

What's the secret to exercising every single day for six years? Just do it!

From Eileen: In a little more than a week, I will be coming up on my six-year anniversary of exercising every single day. I know! I can’t believe it myself.

And while I sometimes joke that given the work I have put into this, I should look a lot better than I do, I have to say I have never felt better.  I wish I had started this whole crazy thing 30 years ago!

Anniversaries are always a time for a little reflection. So what advice can I offer about sticking to a fitness regime?  Well, for starters,  I would say (at the risk of sounding like a Nike ad): Just do it.

Don’t wait until Monday. Don’t wait until summer. Don’t wait until your taxes are done. Don’t wait until the garden is planted.  Don’t wait until … well, you get the idea. At some point, you simply have to start exercising and start making healthier food choices. Some obstacle is always going to be there and life is always going to get in the way.

Waiting for the perfect moment is futile. There never will be a perfect moment. Set a goal and get moving. It doesn’t have to be some elaborate plan. Skip the office birthday cake this afternoon and walk the dog when you get home. Do something healthy and do it now.

No more excuses! Read this post from lyved.com:

There are a lot of people out there who push papers around and act like they have so many places to go and so much

to do. In reality, they’re just avoiding the actions that will get them what they really desire. May be it is because they’re scared or doubtful.

I don’t care who you are; you have time to “just do it” and chase something you want or need. You’ll just have to get less sleep, lose free time, and make lots of other sacrifices.

So take the first step and in the next few days, we’ll talk more about how to keep the momentum going. Now go on. Get out there and do it.

It’s so annoying having to go from page after page after page, wasting my day away with thousands of people just copying eachother’s articles… bah. Anyway, thankyou very much for the info anyway, much appreciated.
