From Mike: It is great being back at work after having President’s Day off. During my morning mail route, I was stopped with many congratulations and praise for the story in the Daily Herald on Monday.
A groan during my first week in the Health and Life Sciences building mail room during the first week brought a professor in from her office. She asked if I was okay, and I told her I had just began a new diet and work out plan and I was really sore. The next week when I saw her, I told her my soreness was much better and explained the competition to her. She then tells me that she teaches nutrition and offered me a textbook on the matter. I showed her the newspaper from this week, and she said she plans to highlight my story and success in her classroom. It is great to have an industry professional in my workplace, and another person to add to the my ever growing support team.
I wonder if the Daily Herald’s individual sales were up Monday, because I know of many people that made a special trip out to get the paper.
Three locations in Bloomingdale all sold out at 10am! Whats that all about? Thankfully Thorntons had 3 copies left! Sold! Scrapbook time!
