From Karen: Well there is Special K crisis! I can’t even think of eating food. Any sort of food just makes me sick. Literally visit the bathroom going to be sick! Its not a good feeling. I have reached out to Tony and he said its my mind fighting my body! Just fight this Special K and it will pass. I hope again to be hungry and WANT to eat food but for now its a struggle. Reached out to other contestants to see if they have the same feelings. OMG I feel better already. I am not alone! I know my mind is stronger than I think and will work through this issue! I will someday soon again love to eat, chicken, tuna, salad, FOOD.. Go Loser! Fight this crisis!

Hey Karen,
Is it the fact that you’re having to eat 5X daily that’s driving you crazy? Or is the constant protein? I know the protein overload sometimes gets to me so I switch up what I’m eating a lot so I don’t get too bored or sick of anything. It’s a hard concept to get used to – this protein, protein, protein at every meal.
When I figure it out I will let you know! I am diagnosing me as “body shock” It will pass!
I am kind of in the same boat Karen. Although I do not have any problems with the food I am eating, I have come to hate eating all together. I feel so bloated after I eat, then soon enough it is time to eat again. My trick has been to make things as spicy as possible. Instead of eating, it feels like I am just burning the insides of my mouth out.
I used to be so careless when it came to eating, and now I am doing the exact opposite…. sure does sound like mind fighting the body!
Keep your head up, we are all doing great, thanks for the continued support!
MIKE
Mike,
I feel better to know that I am not the only one feeling this way! I love the spicy idea…that way it gives it meaning “”ok food get down there and burn it away” Thanks for the suggestion….
Karen: I wish that would happen to me! All I think about lately … is food!
Eileen,
I have a suggestion for you! Just stop doing any “real” physical activity for years…then…..be the luckiest person in the world to win the opportunity to be in a Fittest Loser Contest. Have your body go from zero to 150% fitness and health overnight and you too can experience the dislike of food! I am sure it will pass. My mind will WIN over my body struggle!
It’s hard for me to remember those first few weeks on the diet because technically I started six months ago. I’ve been a LOT more diligent about it since Jan 1 with George’s new suggestions/rules/changes, but I’m still nowhere near disliking food. In fact, I have to keep monitoring my calories all day to make sure I stay at the 1,400 calorie mark! I think I wish I hated food more…
Hey Karen it’s Mark! Are u currently eleminating gluten and dairy from your diet?
Yes i am gluten free..and just a little dairy..should I totally cut that out…its only a little and not everyday??
Karen: I wish I had that problem…sorry!
Karen… Sorry, I have not had this problem. It may be how varied your selections are. I can’t honestly think of a single food item that I don’t like. Meats, Veggies, legumes, fruits…..I love it all. The first week drove me nuts! Not the lack of or too much food but rather the preperation. My Saturdays are spent shopping and I spend all day Sunday cooking. I love to cook and had starting taking culinary courses before this contest. I use Sunday to make a ton of creations that I put in the fridge and then use each morning to dole out my days meals. Spices spices spices…..I also keep a bottle of hot suace in my lunch box in case something is too bland. One other thing to consider is whether your portions are right. Do you use scales and measuring cups? I will admit that most meat portions are 4oz in the book. I never thought I’d say that 4oz seems like a lot of protiein now. Talk to Tony about which carolrie diet you should be adhering to as well. The only thing I am tired of is finding fats to eat……I’ve had enough olives, olive oil and almonds to choke a horse. I just got almond butter and that is a once every other or 3 days treat as a fat.
